The PDF scanner that
stays on your iPhone.

Point your camera at a receipt, a form or a page. PageTap crops it, straightens it and saves a PDF you can share in seconds. The scanning, the filters and the OCR all run on the phone — no account, no cloud, nothing uploaded.

How it works

1

Point and shoot

The document camera finds the edges and corrects the perspective as you shoot — one page or twenty. Or import photos you already have.

2

Pick a filter, save

Color, Grayscale or Black & White, name it, and Save PDF builds the file on the phone. Premium adds a searchable text layer as it saves.

3

Share it anywhere

One Share button opens the system sheet — Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop or Print. It is your file, on your phone, going where you send it.

Free every day. Subscribe if you scan a lot.

5 free scans a day, each saved with a small “Scanned with PageTap” footer, and your last 5 kept in the list. Premium removes the footer and the daily limit, keeps every document, and turns on the searchable OCR text layer.

What PageTap will not do

Questions

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. PageTap has no server. The camera capture, the filters, the OCR and the finished PDF are all handled on your iPhone, and the file stays in the app’s own storage until you tap Share and choose where it goes. There is no analytics or advertising SDK in the app either.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to log in to, and no email address to hand over. Open the app and scan. A Premium subscription is handled by Apple through your existing Apple Account, so even that does not create a PageTap account.

What does OCR do?

It reads the text in your scanned page and stores it as an invisible layer underneath the image, so the words in the PDF can be searched and copied instead of being just a picture. It runs on the phone with Apple’s on-device text recognition, it is best effort, and it is a Premium feature — free documents save without it.

How does the free tier work?

5 free scans a day. A scan is one saved PDF, any number of pages, saved with a small "Scanned with PageTap" footer on each page, with your last 5 scans kept in the Documents list. No card is needed and nothing is charged unless you subscribe.

What is the footer on free scans?

A small "Scanned with PageTap" line printed in the corner of each page on a free-tier document. It never covers your content, and Premium removes it entirely.

How accurate is the OCR?

Best effort. On-device text recognition can miss or misread words, especially on handwriting or poor lighting. The searchable text layer is a convenience on top of the page image, which is always the actual record of what you scanned.

How do I cancel a subscription?

In the iPhone Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops any future charge. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. PageTap is iPhone-only today.

Where do my scanned files actually live?

On your phone, in the app's own storage. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing leaves the device unless you tap Share and choose where it goes.

Turn that stack of paper into PDFs.
