What PageTap will not do
- It will not use the cloud. There is no server anywhere in this app — scanning, filtering and OCR all run on your phone.
- It will not ask you to make an account. No sign-up, no login, no password, ever.
- It will not promise perfect OCR. On-device text recognition is best effort — it can miss or misread words. The page image is always the record of what you scanned.

How does the free tier work?
5 documents per calendar day, saved with a small "Scanned with PageTap" footer on each page, and your last 5 documents kept in the Documents list. No card is needed and nothing is charged unless you subscribe.
What is the footer on free scans?
A small "Scanned with PageTap" line printed in the corner of each page on a free-tier document. It never covers your content, and Premium removes it entirely.
How accurate is the OCR?
Best effort. On-device text recognition can miss or misread words, especially on handwriting or poor lighting. The searchable text layer is a convenience on top of the page image, which is always the actual record of what you scanned.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In the iPhone Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops any future charge. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. PageTap is iPhone-only today.
Where do my scanned files actually live?
On your phone, in the app's own storage. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing leaves the device unless you tap Share and choose where it goes.
